There are two ways to stay connected to Rootdown.us members of particular interest to you:
When you add someone to your watch list, anything they do on Rootdown.us (add contributions, become buddies with someone, create or join a group, and so on) will appear in your personal newsfeed, accessible when you click "My account" in the top right. Your watch list allows you to follow someone else's contributions without them knowing they're being watched. Your watch list is something only you can see.
When you add someone to your buddy list, an email will go to that person letting them know that you've requested to be their buddy. They need to approve this request before you become buddies; until then, they stay on your watch list. The advantage of buddies is that you can create groups with them, and also showcase your network to others on Rootdown. Your buddy list is public to anyone logged in on Rootdown.us.
