Profile:

Varian Blanchard has studied, researched and taught many forms of energetic medicine for over 30 years. He received his training in traditional naturopathy from the International University's (headquartered in Cyr Sur Mer, France) California branch from 1978-80. His doctoral research focused on a powerful color therapy system called Spectro-Chrome. He began teaching this system to the public in 1983, and over the next 20 years, taught hundreds of medical and laypeople alike. He is a senior practitioner and one of only a handful senior instructors of the Spectro-Chrome system in the world. He has been a professional associate of Darius Dinshah(originator's son) for 28 years. Since 2004 Varian has been teaching Acu-Chrome™, an evolving form of Spectro-Chrome.

He became a certified massage therapist in California in 1994 and incorporates both western and eastern styles in his practice.

Varian begin his formal studies of Asian medicine in Seattle at NIAOM, but finished his Masters in Acupuncture degree (M.Ac.) at MCAOM in Minnesota . He is a diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and is currently a licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Montana.

He has studied and uses both TCM and various Japanese styles of Acupuncture in his practice, as well as Korean Hand Therapy(KHT) which he began studying with Dr. Yoo (originator) and Dr. Dan Lobash (current instructor for the USA) in 1995. With both Spectro-Chrome and Acupuncture coming from similar roots of Ayurvedic medicine, Varian took the connection and combining it with the current research in light therapy from scientists in Russia, Germany and the USA, developed this new system he calls Acu-Chrome™. I am authorized by the NCCAOM to offer licensed acupuncturists 15 ceu's for Acu-Chrome training. For details visit my website: www.templebear.org
