On the medial extremity of the suprascapular fossa, about midway between Naoshu (SI-10) and the spinous process of the second thoracic vertebra.

In the tender depression superior to the medial end of the scapular spine, midway between Naoshu S.I. 10 and the spinous process of T2.
How To Find It
Slide a fingertip medially along the superior border of the scapular spine until it falls into the tender depression just lateral to the medial border of the scapula.
Superficially, the lateral branch of the posterior ramus of the second thoracic nerve, the accessory nerve; deeper, tbe muscular branch of the suprascapular nerve.
Superficially, the descending branches of the transverse cervical artery and vein; deeper, the muscular branch of the suprascapular artery and vein.
This point is located close to the medial border of the scapula. Too medial an insertion or deep medial-oblique needling may puncture the lungs.

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3-0.5 inch.

1. Perpendicular insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun. 2. Oblique lateral insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
