Profile:

I have been practicing Chinese Medicine for more than a decade now, and I am still fascinated by it, and I feel very fortunate to make a living at something that I would probably do as a hobby. Because I specialize in Reproductive Medicine/ Infertility, I feel especially honored to be a part of helping my patients start their families. It makes me feel like I am part of the cycle of life.

The major influences in my life as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine were my brief time spent studying with Dr. John H.F. Shen (of the Shen Hammer pulse system), and my exposure to the different acupuncture techniques of Master Tong, Richard Tan, Kiiko Matsumoto, and Mazakazu Ikeda. Observing these masters diagnose and treat patients has given me a glimpse of the power of Chinese Medicine for even the most dire conditions.

I have also had the honor of teaching at Emperor's College - both in the classroom and clinic for the Master's Program, and more recently in the Doctoral Program. I was also fortunate to have been instrumental in starting the Emperor's College Externship Program at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, and I was on the clinical staff at a very busy western medicine outpatient clinic for just over 5 years, working right along side the western medical staff taking care of patients. It is these students and patients over the last 10 years who have been my greatest teachers.
